Brief Description
Chromolithograph on sheet of white paper, formerly the cover for sheet music. The sheet is covered is covered in small scenes of children playing, the main scene in the middle depicting soccer (with the title "A LITTLE FRIENDLY PRACTICE"), with other sports including cricket, rowing, kite-flying and hoop rolling. The title across the top reads "No. 5. THE MAY QUEEN.". followed by "Sports & Pastimes of the British Isles / A Series of Descriptive Pieces ... Interesting & Instructive to both / BOYS AND GIRLS / by / RALPH ALARD." Across the bottom in black is copyright and publishing information -"The Orpheus Music Publishing Co., Moorgate Station Arcade, London, E.C". The page is encased in mylar and clamp-mounted.
