Brief Description
Silver goblet presented to Fred Spofforth (cricketer). Engraved on one side is an inscription reading, in part, "PRESENTED / BY THE / SUBSCRIBERS TO THE BANQUET / GIVEN TO THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS ... 23 JULY 1878". The name F R Spofforth, and a list of the members of the Australian cricket team, are also engraved. The goblet is decorated on the cup and base with an etched foliage design. Base is made of black plastic, with green felt on underside. Pronged metal flange on top is broken
