Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of West Indian fast bowler, Malcolm Marshall. The artist's original image number - 148 - and subject's name and team are handwritten below the design, with the pencilled era '1980s'. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which has been signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Marshall took 376 wickets at an average of 20.94 during 81 Tests.
