Object Detail
Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Anthony 'Tony' Lockett, St Kilda (and later, Sydney Swans) full-forward, kicking for goal at the MCG. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image number - 164 - and subject's name are handwritten below the design, with pencilled text '1987 (Brownlow)'. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which has been signed and dated by the artist.
