Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Test cricketer, Charles Bannerman (1851-1930), included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image number - 11 - subject's name, and text 'MCG/ 1877/ 165 n.o. FIRST TEST/ MARCH 15-19', are handwritten below the image. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated.
