Brief Description
A copy of an original painting in the National Library of Australia. It is a colour print on textured paper of a cricket match in progress on an expanse of grass in front of two large stone buildings (castles?), one octagonal. There is a small label on the mat, which includes text which indicates that the original painting is "Australian Cricketers at Chilham Castle, Kent, August 1878", and that this is print 818/1500. The mat is a khaki green colour with a gold stripe around the window, and the frame is dark brown with gold highlights and glass.
