Brief Description
M.B.E. awarded to Hans Ebeling. It consists of a silver-coloured metal cross with even arms which end in three rounded points. In the centre is a circle, which on the front has a portrait of King George and the words "FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE, while on the back are the letters G.R.J. below a crown. Above the cross is another crown, through which is a ring which also loops through a red and white ribbon. There is a pin on the back of the ribbon. Rectangular box covered in faux black leather and stamped in gold with M.B.E. It is hinged and snaps shut easily. Inside is a grey felt-covered cushion, with an indent into which the M.B.E. medal fits snugly. The top is lined with a white satin-like material, which is stamped with a crown and text including "By appointment to / H.M. THE QUEEN".
