Brief Description
Small version of the M.B.E. awarded to Hans Ebeling. It consists of a silver-coloured metal cross with even arms which end in three rounded points. In the centre is a circle, which on the front has a portrait of King George and the words "FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE, while on the back are the letters G.R.J. below a crown. Above the cross is another crown, through which is a ring which also loops through a red and white ribbon. There is a pin on the back of the ribbon. Green cardboard box with deep lid that covers the base. Inside is cotton tissue on which MBE miniature medal sits, as well as an instruction card on when and where to wear it. The top of the box has a white border with an embossed gold design, with two coats of arms and the words SPINK & SON Ltd.
