Brief Description
Plaster figurine of a man holding a cricket bat. The figure is full-length, leaning forward slightly with legs apart and taking his stance with the bat held in both hands. The figure is supported from the back by a tree stump covered with drapery. At the foot of the statue is incised "W.M. THOMAS", and on the reverse is incised "W.M. THOMAS / sculptor 18[..]". A coat of white paint has been applied to the figure. The statue is mounted on an octagonal, wooden base which is painted black.
