Framed letter on elaborate letterhead consisting in part of five photographs in blue print, the letter addressed to the Secretary of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, from the balloonist Captain Taylor Penfold. The letter reads DEAR SIR/, I SHALL BE PLEASED TO HEAR / THE TERMS ON WHICH YOUR GROUND CAN / BE OBTAINED FOR BALLOON ASCENTS AND / OTHER ENTERTAINMENT ON WEEKDAY / OR SATURDAY AFTERNOONS DURING THIS AND / NEXT MONTH ALSO AT NIGHT, WHETHER / SUCH IS LIT AT NIGHT, AND IF SUCH / GROUNDS CAN BE OBTAINED ON A PERCENTAGE / BASIS AND YOUR BEST TERMS THEREFORE. / YOUR EARLY REPLY WILL OBLIGE. / TRULY YOURS / CAPTAIN TAYLOR PENFOLD / THE AUSTRALIAN AERONAUT.
