Brief Description
Two rectangular sheets of white paper with Victorian State Government letterhead and thick black border around edges. The paper mounted at the top of the frame is a copy of a telegram sent to the King of England, dated 17 May 1910, by the Melbourne Cricket Club, offering sympathy and pledging allegiance upon the death of King Edward VII. The lower paper is a telegram, dated 30 June 1910, received by the Melbourne Cricket Club in return for the offer of sympathy. It is an acceptance of condolences and thanks from the Secretary of State for the Colonies. Framed with simple black painted wood, and a tan mount board. Inscription above telegrams reads, "HIS LATE MAJESTY - KING EDWARD VII".
