Brief Description
Brown, padded leather boxing glove used for training by James Boyd of the U.S. Boxing Team while in Australia. Right-hand glove features white handwritten signatures of the U.S. Boxers and text that reads in part "Especially for / the "Cribbs" [family] / Thanks for everything...". Boyd went on to win the Gold Medal in the Light Heavyweight division. Text printed at wrist reads "H1134 / Wilson / MADE IN U.S.A". Has discoloured white stitching, lace and lining.
