Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square, card surround. The picture was taken at the Melbourne Cricket Ground during the 1956 Olympic Games, and shows athletes warming up next to the track. A small podium is set up on the field, and beyond that is a stand crowded with spectators.
