Brief Description
Black and white, sepia toned photograph featuring Australian cyclist Chris Wheeler seated on his cycle which is propped up on a stand with rollers, pictured inside the 1936 Berlin Olympic Village. The building is probably house no 43, named “Haus Worms”, as one of the houses used by the Australian Olympic Team and the house where Wheeler stayed for the duration of the 1936 Olympic Games. Inscription on cycle frame, "SPEEDWELL"; on reverse, stamped in blue, "Copyright by / Weltbild...Zimmerstr. 28 / Berlin SW68".
