Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square, card surround. The picture shows the Melbourne Cricket Ground during the 1956 Olympic Games, seen from the east end of the Southern Stand. A number of officials are gathered on the field, and a series of markers are set out, suggesting that a throwing event (perhaps discus) is taking place.
