Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square, card surround. The picture was taken inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground during the 1956 Olympic Games, and shows athletes gathering on the track at the start of a race. The viewpoint is from the Southern Stand, looking across the playing surface to the Member's Pavilion on the left and the Northern Stand straight ahead.
