Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square card surround. The picture was taken during the 1956 Olympic Games, and shows the inside of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, looking from a stand over the running track, where athletes have just left their starting blocks, holding batons in their hands. In the background is part of the Southern Stand with flags flying from the roof. Along the edges of the slide is written "Start womens 400m / Relay. Strickland 2nd / from Right".
