Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square card surround. The picture was taken during the 1956 Olympic Games, and shows the inside of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, looking from a stand over the running track, where athletes are running in a hurdles race. The front runners are approaching the last hurdle and the finishing line. In the background is part of the Southern Stand with flags flying from the roof, and to the right is a large flagpole with the Olympic rings flag flying from it. Along the top edge of the slide is written "Final Womens / 80 metres Hurdles".
