Brief Description
Colour slide printed on plastic with a square card surround. The picture was taken during the 1956 Olympic Games, and shows the inside of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, looking from a stand over the running track, where a group of athletes are approaching the finishing line. The winning runner has his arms outstretched. In the background is the covered Southern Stand with flags flying from the roof.
