Brief Description
Wooden heart-shaped shield with silver and gold plated front depicting a scene of engraved cricketers, angels, leaves, rosettes and at top edge, a lion. Hinged wooden easel stand on reverse with detached chain. Inscription, engraved at the upper section, "M.C.C. FIELDING TROPHY / PRESENTED BY / T.J.D. KELLY. ESQ. / SEASON 1888-89"; engraved at foot of shield, "WON BY / W.BRUCE. ESQ".
