Brief Description
Twelve mounted prints of German towns, contained within a hard-backed folder. Folder is titled, "DEUTSCHES / KULTURERBE / 12 STADTBILDER IN ORIGINALSTAHLSTICHEN" (trans. 'German Cultural Heritage. 12 Townscape [prints] from Original Steel Engravings'). An inscription features on the inside of the folder cover. Written in German, and dated to 9 December 1956, it is addressed to Fred Broch. This print collection was presented by eight East German (German Democratic Republic) journalists, working in Melbourne during the 1956 Olympic Games, who have signed their names below the inscription.
