Brief Description
White souvenir towel from the 1956 Olympic Games that has a colour image on the front. Beneath the Olympic rings is the image of a man running wearing yellow and green running attire. He is carrying an Olympic torch. The image is in the middle of an outline of Australia, which is surrounded by a laurel wreath. A red dot represents where Melbourne is on the map. Beneath this image is that of a stadium that has the text "MELBOURNE / 1956 / XVI OLYMPIAD" printed on it. In both the lower right and left corner is a Supertex manufacturers label. The one in the lower left is red and white and the one in the lower right is in colour.
