Brief Description
Circular blue and white enamelled hinged box with blue base and white lid that features blue, red and yellow swirling lines called a samtaeguk pattern (a traditional Korean design) resting atop coloured Olympic rings. The rim of the lid and base is a gold metal. White interior with black printed text on the underside of lid bears the Olympic logo and text. Text reads 'GAMES OF THE XXIVth OLYMPIAD / SUMMER GAMES/ 1988 / SEOUL / COPYRIGHT C.I.O.1986. On the underside of base is maker's stamp. Housed in white silk-lined card box with gold trim and text that reads 'ENGLISH / ENAMELS / by / Crummels'. Also enclosed in box in is a small square, cream leaflet about Crummels.
