Brief Description
Programme - in French and English - associated with the opening of the Melbourne Olympic Games. The English text printed on the front page reads 'SOLEMN OPENING/ of the CONGRESS of/ THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE/ AT TOWN HALL, MELBOURNE/ on MONDAY, 19th NOVEMBER, 1956, at 11 a.m.'. The programme schedule is printed on pages 2 (in French) and 3 (in English). A seating plan for the Town Hall is printed on the back page. The name 'Mr Lewis Luxton' is hand written on the top, and his seat marked in red on the plan. Single sheet; four pages.
