Brief Description
A metal and enamel badge featuring the Chinese Olympic Committee logo. Simply, it is the Olympic rings crowned by the flag of the People's Republic of China. This badge was presented to Australian Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum director, Tom McCullough, during the 2nd World Meeting of Sports Museum Directors, held at Lausanne, Switzerland, June 1989. The Chinese delegate may have been promoting the new China Sports Museum, in Beijing, which was to officially open in 1990.
