Object Detail

Brief Description
A gold metallic badge. Features two symbols - a letter and a star. The letter is Cyrillic, and represents the sound "ts", but written in Latin script as "c". This is the first letter of the Serbian word "crvena". Coupled with the star symbol, the badge spells out "crvena zvezda", or "red star", hence, Red Star Belgrade F.C. This badge was presented to Australian Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum director, Tom McCullough, during the 2nd World Meeting of Sports Museum Directors, held at Lausanne, Switzerland, June 1989.
