Brief Description
A circular bronze lapel badge. In the centre is the image of the ancient Greek sculpture, the 'Diskobolos' or 'Discus-thrower'. Around the edge is the inscription: 'MUZUEM/SPORTU I TURYSTYKI'. This translates from Polish as: 'The Museum of Sports and Tourism'. The Museum is located in Warsaw, Poland. This lapel badge was presented to Australian Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum director, Tom McCullough, during the 2nd World Meeting of Sports Museum Directors, held at Lausanne, Switzerland, June 1989.
