Brief Description
Grey wrap skirt worn by Doris Carter in the 1936 Olympic Games. Three pleats at the front next to a pocket on either side. Along the outside of the waist are four buttons and three metal clasps that attach to a metal hook and button hole on the inside of the waist. A spare brown button is attached to the inside of the waist. Three manufacturers labels are sewn into the inside of the waist. The first reads in part "DOUBLE WEST / WORSTEAD...". The second reads in part "Fabrilastic / COMFORT WAIST...". The third reads in part "PURE MERINO WOOL...". There is lining around the waist only. On the inside of the pockets are four labels, two on either pocket.
