Brief Description
A pocket from an official Australian Olympic garment, issued to team members competing in, officials supporting, and Australian media covering, the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games. The blazer which this pocket comes from was issued to Ben Kerville, a journalist working for the Australian 'Sporting Globe' newspaper. It is green, and features an embroidered Australian coat-of-arms, with embroidered inscription below, in gold, "PRESS CORRESPONDENT". The pocket is stitched onto a piece of canvas lined backing board.
