A shield-shaped metallic badge with enamelled designs. The emblem is of the now defunct North Borneo Olympic Team, worn during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games - the only Olympics North Borneo competed in. It is a shield featuring two designs in the chief and the base. In the base is the image of a sailing ship with a large 'T' featured on one of the sails. It is sailing past an island. In the chief is featured a red lion passant guardant, upon a yellow field. Above the lion is the text: 'NORTH BORNEO'. The shield is crowned by the olympic rings emblem.
