Brief Description
A grey and blue admission ticket to the Opening Ceremony of the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, held at the Main Stadium (Melbourne Cricket Ground), on 22 November 1956. The event is indicated by the illustration, at the top left of the ticket, of a torch bearer with the Olympic rings emblem in the background. The seating location on the ticket is '[Section] E4, Row Q, Seat 3'. A plan of the seating arrangement at the Main Stadium is featured on the back.
