Brief Description
A 16-page (cover exclusive) programme. Front cover features a black and white image of the obverse of the 1956 Olympics Victory Gold Medal. Across the back, and part of the front cover, is a colour photo print of the M.C.G. during the 1956 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Inscription on front: 'OLYMPIC GAMES/MELBOURNE 1956/FOOTBALL FINAL/AND/CLOSING CEREMONY/SATURDAY, DEC. 8, 1956, 2-15 P.M./MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND/PROGRAMME. ONE SHILLING'. Besides Closing Ceremony and Soccer Final details, the programme features a list of the 1956 Olympic Games champions.
