Brief Description
A 16-page (cover exclusive programme). Features a black and white image of the 1956 Olympics victory gold medal, accompanied by the text: 'OLYMPIC GAMES/MELBOURNE 1956/FOOTBALL FINAL/and/CLOSING CEREMONY/SATURDAY, DEC. 8, 1956, 2-15 p.m./MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND/PROGRAMME. ONE SHILLING'. Adjacent to the front cover heading, across the rest of the front and all of the back cover, is a colour image of the M.C.G. during 1956 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Alongside the Closing Ceremony programme, is a list of all 1956 Olympic champions, and information on the Association Football (Soccer) final. The countries playing in the final were the U.S.S.R. and Yugoslavia.
