As a 12 y/o, I sold soft drinks on Saturday 1 December 1956 at the Melbourne Olympics. Good sales, as the temp was about 85 F! As I sold, I still managed to see some great events, including the Australian women's world record in the 4 x 100m relay, and Ron Delaney beating John Landy into 3rd place in the 1500m.
