Brief Description
Postcard of a poster, unused. A full-colour facsimile of the third of four 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games posters, designed by Yusaku Kamekura, with Osamu Hayasaki and Jo Murakoshi. This work incorporated the use of state-of-the-art colour photogravure, whilst also employing the emblem and logo for the Tokyo Games, designed by Kamekura, across the bottom. This photogravure image features the Japanese butterfly swimmer, Kojo Iwamoto, captured during a shoot taken at the Tokyo Metropolitan Indoor Swimming Pool, in February 1962.
