Brief Description
Postcard of a poster. A pictorial image featuring a male skier, holding up a pair of skis in his left hand, and raising his right arm in victory. He wears a white bib featuring the Olympic rings emblem, in gold. In the background are the Bavarian mountains. Inscription, in French: 'ALLEMAGNE 1936/IVES JEUX OLYMPIQUES D'HIVER/GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN/DU 6 AU 16 FEVRIER 1936/COMITE D'ORGANISATION DES IVES JEUX OLYMPIQUES D'HIVER 1936/GARMISCH PARTENKIRCHEN (BAVIERE)'. Poster was designed by Ludwig Hohlwein, and was reproduced as a postcard by the I.O.C. in 1984.
