Brief Description
Postcard of a poster. Full colour facsimilie of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games poster, designed by Franz Wurbel. It features an image of the quadriga sculpture located in the centre of Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate. Rising above it is the image of a wreathed, bronzed athlete. Behind him is the Olympic rings emblem. Inscription: 'GERMANY/BERLIN - 1936/1" - 16" AUGUST/OLYMPIC GAMES'. Poster was reproduced as a postcard by the I.O.C. in 1984.
