Brief Description
A black hard-back album, featuring a gold Olympic Rings emblem on the cover. Contents comprise of first day covers commemorating the National Olympic Committees of a number of countries from around the world. Each cover is accompanied by a printed label chronicling the history of the country, and its involvement in the Modern Olympic Movement. The covers actually come from two series of commemorative covers, released during the 1980 Moscow, and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The 1980 covers feature national flags. The 1984 covers feature national, or, N.O.C. coats-of-arms. First day covers included in this volume are for: Andorra, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Brazil (1980 and 1984 versions), British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, People's Republic of the Congo, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia (1980 and 1984 versions), Djibouti, Dominica, and Ecuador.
