Brief Description
A first day cover, featuring four postmarked postage stamps commemorating the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games to the right, and a stamp, numbered "5215", promoting the Olympex Melbourne Olympic Philatelic Exhibition at the Preston Motors building in Melbourne, to the upper left. The first day cover itself features a green and brown graphic design promoting the exhibition, and it comprises of the Olympic rings positioned in a straight, diagonal angle, each with a boomerang woven through. Inscription on cover reads, "OLYMPEX / 12-24 NOV. / 1956 / MELBOURNE". Postmarks on front and back promote the exhibition, and feature a torch bearer in the centre, dated 20 November 1956.
