Brief Description
Tracksuit worn by Betty Cuthbert at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964. Green, long sleeved jacket with zip up front, yellow piping along top of sleeve from shoulder to cuff and two yellow bands around the cuffs. Right side pocket with zip. Over left breast green patch with embroided yellow border. Yellow embroidered kangaroo with "AUSTRALIA" inscribed above and "TOKYO 1964" inscribed below. Below this the olympic rings embroided in red, blue, black, green and yellow. Back of jacket embroidered in green and yellow with "AUSTRALIA" across shoulders. Green pants with yellow piping along outside of each leg. Zips on outside of lower part of leg. Elasticised waist and ankles.
