Brief Description
Black and white photograph of an airfield in which a very faint image of an aircraft preparing to leave the ground in take-off can be seen. At the top of the mount a date "1943" is written and at the bottom "76 SQN "POTSHOT" EXMOUTH GULF W.A.", hand written text on the reverse of the object indicates where the photograph was reproduced. The accession form indicates that the original (this is an enlarged reprint) was taken with a Box Brownie and is in fact an image of Keith Truscott taking off in the Exmouth Gulf- then code named 'Pot Shot' in March 1943.
