Brief Description
A glass mounted colour transparency featuring a photo image, taken from the crowd within the Main Stadium (M.C.G.), during the hoisting of the Olympic Flag, at the Opening Ceremony of the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. The Concrete Stand (with Scoreboard), and the Grey Smith Stand, feature prominently in the background.
