Reprint of a colour photograph of female athletes relaxing outside the Olympic Village in Melbourne 1956. Features eight women dressed in a variety of trousers, tracksuit pants, shirts and jumpers seated on the ground and steps of a brick building. Some are wearing white ankle socks and dark scuffs. They include Shirley Strickland, Marlene Mathews, and Gloria Cooke.
