Brief Description
Five gold medals awarded to John Birnie Marshall for winning freestyle swimming events Victorian Championships 1946-1949. Awarded by the Victorian Amateur Swimming Association. Gold coin-like medals which feature a blue enamel shield with 5 stars below a crown. Two laurels either side of shield with VASA in full text around the edge. On reverse between two laurels are engraved details of the race, date, recipient and location.
