Brief Description
Participation bronze medal and badge XV Olympic Games Helsinki 1952. The medal was given to all athletes and officials. On one side is written: "HELSINKI 1952/ HELSINGFORS". Design features stylized athletes' head with laureates superimposed over the Olympic Stadium. Reverse side is written: "XV OLYMPIA" and features male and female athletes to left holding torches over Olympic Rings. The designer's name and the date of design: "KAUKO RÄSÄNEN/1951" are inscribed on the observe below the left bust. The bronze badge includes a dark blue ribbon affixed to the lower edge. Design features enamelled Olympic Rings over the Olympic Stadium. Text reads: "1952/XV OLYMPIA/ HELSINKI/ HELSINGFORS". Text on ribbon reads: "Vinti/Natation"
