Brief Description
Set of two swimming medals awarded to John Birnie Marshall by the Amateur Swimming Association of N.S.W. 1948-1949. The gold metal discs feature a decorative design of the NSW Coat of Arms with the state flower (Waratah) in the centre of a life buoy, text and scrollwork. On reverse is a wreath design and engraving on which details the race, date, recipient and time.
