A certificate presented to Charmain Williams, for her contribution to the service to and maintenance of the Olympic Village during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Inscr. in part: 'THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE/for the XVIth OLYMPIAD/Melbourne 1956/.../To Miss Charmain Williams/As a member of the Olympic Village staff/from 7th November, 1956 to 9th December, 1956/...'. Williams was a waitress, working exclusively in the Dining Hall catering to the Singaporean and Filipino athletes.
