Boxing banner, large, painted; "HARRY JOHNS' / GLADIATORS OF THE RING / INTERNATIONAL / FEATHERWEIGHT CONTEST / FOUGHT AT RUSHCUTTERS BAY SYDNEY / 23rd MAY 1949 / WON BY ELLEY BENNETT / ON A KNOCKOUT IN THE 6th ROUND" (against Cecil Shoomaker). Features illustrations of Bennett and Shoomaker fighting: large in centre, yellow background; six smaller with blue backgrounds at each side. Blue border with silver 'wave' detail, eyelets at corners.
