Brief Description
Black and white photograph taken in 1936 at the Olympic Games of the 100 Kilometre Cycling Road Race. Chris Wheeler is on the fourth bike from the left. At the bottom of the photograph is a road on which there are multiple cyclists. Behind them, in the top half of the photograph are the stands that are at capacity. Reverse has handwritten and printed text that reads in part "100 kilo Kilo Road Race. / Wheeler 4th Johnson 7..." Press stamp verso.
