Brief Description
Book, entitled "THE OLYMPIC VILLAGE / FOR THE XVITH OLYMPIAD / MELBOURNE, 1956" issued by Housing Commission, Victoria. It provides maps, plans of sites and illustrations of buildings to show the planning of the Olympic Village and athletes' houses on glossy paper, interleaved by tissue. Cover is cream card; front has gold lettering on bottom right and gold Olympic rings on the top left; reverse has the Housing Commission logo. Stamps and stickers "HERALD LIBRARY", "RESTRICTED" on cover.
